We thought that this restaurant was brilliant because the service was very friendly (particularly with our two young daughters), the food was fresh and tasty and the atmosphere and interior cosy but modern. We will definitely go back again.

Very nice dinner here. The waiter spoke fluent English and was very helpful with the menu and helping our 6 yr old daughter find something to eat. The desk clerk at the Mercure Rounen recommended the Auberge St-Maclou for dinner. The server was personable and prompt. The food was excellent. On a cold, wet, windy night it was a perfect refuge for two tired, hungry travelers. The dinner was grand, the wine excellent, but the helpful server made the night for us. We would highly recommend it.

Having not been able to get into the first restaurant we tried, we took pot luck with St-Maclou and were so glad we did. The set menu, around 20 euros was superb value, interesting and delicious and in the most pleasant surroundings. The staff were delightful and helpful and after three courses, with wine, our bill was 54 euros.
