This place is one of those that you would go to for brunch or for drinks and only if you knew exactly what you wanted from the menu. It is hidden in a back alley so you are best off going on to Rue D'Antibes and then into the by-lane where the restaurant is situated. The decor was warm and... More

Even in Winter traffic in Cannes is heavy and parking almost impossible. And they do not have the ease of the London black-cab to help getting around. If you can park, or have other means of transport, the Bistro Les Canailles is well worth the visit. It is small enough to be presided over by the two friends who own... More

Good vibrant atmosphere and always really busy, when I walk by My entree of pan fried escallop of foie gras was cooked to perfection, with an excellent, flavoursome sharp, rich, red fruits and red wine reduction. The crab rolls were a real disappointment, as they came unseasoned and stuffed with cream cheese Which made them very bland (for my palate)... More

Sorry to say but the Canaille did not live up to our expectations. The meat was not well prepared and the duck was overdone. The wine list is however a delight, well selected, but Canaille have to make an effort if we where to recommend a visit.

We found this place on a tip from a friendly local barrista. It has a cool and upbeat ambiente, definitely a happening scene and apparently beloved by locals. Although the menu was mainly geared around meat (an issue for my veg sister) we still found enough food to keep us happy. The salads were well dressed and good. We both... More

Great food at great price. Quirky with hand written wine list and cool way of keeping wine cold. Brilliant staff and well worth trying!

Made a reservation. When we got there no one had any idea about reservation. We did get seated as we were early. Restaurant very quickly filled up. A popular place with French people who appeared to get priority. After 20 minutes our order was taken but waitress unwilling to help us with unknown words in menu. Meanwhile 3 tables who... More

We have now been to Les Canailles 3 times and the experience gets better. The food is simple and uncoplicated-there is great house wine and charming waiting staff.

I had the duo saumon (tartare style) to start. It come with a mini side ginger salad and the portion was realy nice. This was so fresh and the flavor was siblime. I never had salmon that good before (and I'm from BC!!). We also had a very large plate of parmesan fry oyster, wich was also to die for.... More
