Fast and attentive service, very big plates. Food is very tasty like home-made. One thing that was strange: we spent 50 euros for food and beverages and they include 10 euro tips in the bill. Anyways, highly recommended!

The restaurant was quiet and welcoming, with very good Bavarian food. It was a welcome respite from the Oktoberfest crowds, and the spaetzle and kase (cheese) was the perfect comfort food for a rainy day. We had a very good lunch here. We happened upon the place when walking around the city. Traditional and unique foods. I tried the smoked fish-beet soup. Great service and atmosphere.

Had lunch at the Hofer and enjoyed the experience, the staff were excellent and the choice of dishes was good. A good atmosphere with a mix of locals and tourists with no problems for us English speakers, I will certainly go again

Our first meal there was spur of the moment as it started to rain when we were passing, but we went back several times as the food was very good, reasonably priced and the surroundings were so perfect for a feeling of "old Munich".
