Very tasty tortilla - I'm not that familiar with spanish food and had expected something lighter but it was really good. Price was was low compared to quality. Recommendable.
We stopped here for drinks and snacks several times whilst in Berlin for a week. The service was excellent. The waitress was very friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English. The bar was clean and nice surroundings in which to eat and drink. Outdoor seating is comfortable and Auguststrasse is an interesting street to pass time just watching. The food... More
It's one of our places we go when there's no better idea right now. The tapas are decent, we enjoy the fried potatoes, the fried spinach, the shrimps in garlic sauce, the fried pimientos and also the lamb in estrogen sauce - all yummy. However, the day the refrigerator was invented, those guys missed that memo - expect a lukewarm... More
We came across Ruz by chance; just somewhere on hand when we were ready to sit down with a beer and coffee for half an hour. We had a nice table in the window and the atmosphere seemed cosy and relaxed, so we ended up asking for the menu and choosing several tapas dishes, all of which were vegetarian (though... More
It is a pretty popular place. some locals and some abroad college kids. A few really good dishes keep it on our regular hit list. The green peppers, the spinat kroketten, the spicey gambas, the lamb, and the fried potatoes are our favorites. Avoid the Tortillas, they are not that great and huge. I was expecting something like a quesedilla... More
We were three women seeing the sites and galleries in the neighborhood and came across Restaurant Ruz. We went in because their outdoor advertising said Tapas. We wanted something light and they made us a varied tapas combination plate to share. We really enjoyed this and the attentive and accommodating service.
Its supposed to be the best Spanish restaurant in Berlin. I doubt it. The food was okey, but not great. The intrior is smple rustic, but not warm and cozy. And the waitress has a bad memory. Even if she wrote down the order she forgott our wine, and when we asked if she had forgotten it after 15 minutes... More
Reviews say that they have great tapas, so i had high expectations prior to my going there. Don't bother. Berlin has got so many excellent cafes and restaurants. Why put up with slow order taking, mediocre food, with poor presentation?
This place was recommended by The Circus hotel and is just a few minutes walk from Rosenthaller Platz, on Auguststrasse. The menu in tapas restaurants can often seem daunting, with so much choice. The first evening we had the tapas selection and were advised it was enough for two - they were right! Complimented by a perfectly acceptable house white.... More
Great choice if you like Spanish food. While you wait waiter brings fantastic chili and spice olive oil with bread. If you take main course and side dish quantity is enough even for the hungriest people. Main course and side dish is priced between 8 and 12 euro
