We stayed at the hotel and didn't feel like venturing around with an 8 month old. So we tried this restaurant in the veranda of the hotel. We were the first ones there and took a table outside in the veranda (inside would have been tough with the baby). I wasn't expecting much from a hotel restaurant but was very... More

Having read some of the reviews I came to this place prepared to be awed...my first surprise was to realize that the restaurant was in my hotel (AC) as the description others had made it sound like something different. The place is adequate for a 4 star hotel restaurant in a mid-sized city in Spain (the hotel has 5 stars... More

We were recommended to El Claustro by another fabulous restaurante in Malaga. We were certainly NOT to be disappointed. We were recommended to attend one of their special themed nights. This one, was flamenco and it was great. However, the food (especially as catering for a large number) was absolutely fabulous!! Couldn't fault a morsel. Well balanced, full of tantalising... More

I was alone in the restaurant which was uncomfortable. I ordered 2 starters as I was hungry but not starving. I had the salmon tartare and the minced lamb with pine nuts and dried apricots. Both dishes were rather sweet, a bit sweeter than I'd expected (especially the salmon) but both were very good. However, I don't feel like it... More

We were lucky to have a table for New Year's celebration. First of all the restaurant itself is located inside one of the room of an old cloister. Simply beautiful! Concerning the food, everything was just delicious. From all the "mise en bouche" in the beginning which were amazing (special "design mention" for one involving jamon (ham) which war shaped... More

The food here is fantastic and very original. I can't even imagine coming up with some of the dishes he puts together. It really reflects the city and it's culture as well. After walking all day, we didn't want to venture out on the town again so we ate here. We each got a starter and a main and split... More

It is hard to believe this restaurant is ranked only #12. The food and service were excellent. The waitstaff worked patiently with us to accommodate our diets. We decided on the trout, mushrooms and chestnuts, and vegetables, with a chocolate and hazelnut cake for dessert. All were superbly prepared. A great atmosphere in a building formerly housing a convent, The... More

El Claustro restaurant was recommended by some other tourists we were chatting with in Seville who had just stayed at the hotel. I am a novice foodie (coming from Chicago, I know good food), but what an amazing meal. I don't recall exactly what we ordered or ate, but what I do know is each bite was out of this... More

We were guests at Palacio de Santa Paula, so we decided to eat at El Claustro the first night we arrived in Granada. We had a truly outstanding meal. The chef is creative and everything we ordered -- from cold soup to meat (ox tenderloin) to fish (hake) to vegetables -- was wonderful. Desserts were fantastic. Atmosphere in the convent... More
