Very expensive(9€ for a pint of beer), overcharged for rubbish quality of food and very arrogant and amateur service. Never go there!!
This restaurant is well worth while. There may be a little wait but its worth it. We found this by accident when the restaurant next door said that they had a hour's wait. We were hungry, tried this place, and liked it well enough we went back a number of times and never got around to the restauraunt next door!
Expensive drinks, service apparently not included so we shelled out more than we would have liked. Good place to go if you like MTV.
We stopped at the "restaurant" because of the cheap menu price and we wanted to sit at the windows but the waiter told us we must sit in the dark corner. There was noone else but us! Then we asked if we could sit outside, he told us "It's expensive" and nothing else, he went for the food we asked... More
We stopped at this restaurant one evening as it did look quite inviting. We didn't have to wait to long for our food however it was appalling. The cold Spaghetti tasted like it was out of a tin and the Lamb Chops were 95% bone. The drinks were horrendously overpriced but you don't know until you get the bill. A... More
Went for a drink on the street patio. The guy approached us and I asked for a price on how much is their beer. He quoted 6euros. However when we got the bill, it was 9.05 plus tax so around 10euros. They dont provide you with a drinks menu so you have no reference to what youre paying until you... More
From the outside L'Oliva looks a little smarter than the other cafe's/restaurants on La Rambla and, despite being beckoned into several other establishments the waiters here seemed to be more friendly. We were stopping for lunch and wanted to sit outside to watch the world go by. Service was great, the food nothing special but adequate and tasty. We asked... More
After Reading the other reviews, I was a Little confussed. We´ve had nothing but excellent experiences at this restaurant and decided to dine here 4 of the 7 nights that we were in Barcelona. Ask for Enrique for your waiter. He´ll definately take care of you. For just 16 Euros you´ll get a 3 course meal that tastes, looks and... More
In the heart of La Rambla, the busy heart of tourist Barcelona, this restaurant like many others has pavement waiters encouraging you in. Be aware that some menu items such as vegetable accompaniments are not in the menu, so check the price before ordering - as a guide we paid 4.95 euros for a plate of fries (to accompany an... More
We stopped to look at the menu and it looked Ok, as we were both very hungry we thought we would eat at l'oliva. First of all we ordered our drinks and the waiter was very insistent that we both got their sangrias and when my girlfriend said no and just asked for a diet coke he was immediately unhappy.... More
