The Amayra Restaurant is in the Hotel Regina. Although it is open to the public, it services mostly hotel guests. There is a large menu, but everyone we saw on our two visits ordered the bargain (18-19 Euro) Fixed Menu, offered nightly at 50% off the regular price. The menu offers two choices for each of the two listed courses.... More

I usually avoid hotel restaurants but this was recommended to us and we were not disappointed. menu degustation or tasting menu was 39 euros for 5 smallish courses. The food was well presented and packed in lots or flavour. the ox steak with foie gras and Port sauce was delicious. Service efficient and all spoke good English. Good wine list.... More

We stayed at the Hotel Regina and after a couple of days of disappointing food in Madrid we decided to try Amayra located in the lobby of our hotel. We chose the menu of the day and it was fantastic! Amazing value for less than 30 euros for 2 courses and wine as well as a free amuse bouche. Everything... More

We used trip advisor to find this place and we're glad we gave it a try. Tucked in at the back of a cafe/bar you could easily miss it. The surroundings are simply beautiful and the waiting staff are really friendly. The food was simply fantastic. The portions were large so you can share starters. The quality of the produce... More

Had lunch here and enjoyed the peaceful, elegant atmosphere. Our waitress helped to translate the menu for us. I had the best fish soup I have ever had. The stuffed hake was good but a little too flavorful for me, but my husband was more enthusiastic about it. The presentation of everything was very nice. I would recommend this restaurant.... More

Experience in Spain tends to lower your expectations from restaurants. Amayra however was one of the good experiences. The food was very good and the price surprisingly low (tip: sit outside at the cafeteria area - the atmosphere isn't as good, but you get the same food for half the price). Bonus: the staff actually dpeaks English - another rarity... More

Since we discovered this restaurant a couple of years, rare is the month that we not make a visit with friends and family. (will be gone about 30 or 40 times) positive: - Located in central Madrid, just 5 minutes walk from the Puerta del Sol - Its facilities are modern and stylish, with enough space between tables to have...
