I will probably give a different review to my friends, but I am sure they will recognise why. We were there to celebrate a friends special birthday. Orders all made but sadly the waiters got the fish order wrong and I was left with no main course - it also took 2 attempts to bring this to their attention! When... More

We had our wedding meal here on the 14th of April . There were around 30 guests and the staff especially Elisa looked after us unbelievably!! The waiters were so attentive and looked after everything that we needed. On the via Appia Antica the surrounding is so full of history with catacombs and roman ruins and the restuarant reflects this... More

I had a very good Sunday lunch at this restaurant. I had the fish soup followed by fresh pasta made with fennel and fish. Both dishes were very good. The service was outstanding and the restaurant has quite a bit of personality. The place was a bit pricey. In two we spent EUR90 for an appetizer and pasta course with... More

One thing not to miss in Rome (and of course everybody misses that) is a walk on the Appia Antica, the old Roman road which used to go from Rome to Brindisia, in Apulia (to know more, see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Appian_Way). The road is also located very close to some of the most visited catacombs, and the restaurant is located at walking... More

I cannot say enough about this restaurant. Our private tour guide recommended it for lunch and my family and I are still talking about it. The food and wine were fabulous. The service was exceptional and our waiter could not have been more personable and attentive. We are returning to Rome and will dine there again.

They have been serving the same perfect dishes from generations in this lavish garden restaurant. A word of advice, invest on a return taxi drive or hired car to visit the historical surroundings as this area is not in the centre of town. You'll live the most unforgettable experience ever!

Very good food a very good quality. Offer also regional specialities which you find rarely somewhere else. Last time I took a Beef Tartare, it was cut by hand! A special place, highly recommended!

The restaurant is slightly outside of the Centre of Rome. If you do not like smoke select inside seating, which is simply wonderful. The decor is tasteful and Roman; the waiters are knowledgeable and friendly. There is a wine cellar onsite--go and take a look. We were with a group that wanted to focus on wines and enjoyed some Brunello... More

It is well worth taking a trip out to this charming restaurant. I believe our taxi ride from the Villa Boghese Museum area was about 12 euros, slightly more on the return. It is in a very interesting old roman road which has many tombs alongside it. (fyi I believe this road is closed to traffic once a week so... More
