This typical Roman trattoria is in Trastevere, and modestly priced despite its well-earned reputation as a gastronomic dellght. Easy to reach, down to earth ambiance, with good service despite always being very busy. Popular, so make reservations. You won't be dissapointed!

Very busy and noisy. Unless you get a table outside there is zero atmosphere. Not the place for a romantic dinner in Rome. food was mixed quality. Fried zucchini flower and tempura like prawns were very good. Fettuccine with porcini was delicious. Amriticiana not so much. Good house wine. Hard to find. English speaking staff. There were locals but also... More

Da Teo is arguably the Trastevere area of Rome's finest restaurant, certainly when factoring in value for money against quality of food. They have a good range of daily specials, off-the-menu offerings and a solid wine list. The food is excellent. Try the Roman or Jewish artichokes as a starter and, if they have it, the seared tuna steak as... More

Book! its the first thing to do if you want to eat here...its so popular with locals and tourists alike. Also, you may have to wait, so please don't make a big performance of ten minutes standing in a beautiful square in Trastevere. Never had bad food or service-quite the oppposite-fun waiter with sense of humour...even at 23.00, food excellent.... More

(It seems that some reviews of Da Enzo al 29 have gotten mixed in here accidentally, so just to clarify: I'm talking about Trattoria da Teo.) Of the many restaurants in Trastevere where we ate, we enjoyed the atmosphere of this one the most. It was very lively, and we were the only tourists in the place. The food was... More

I had better expectations since it's a Routard 2011 awarded place (according to the sticker at the door). The place was very busy (no tables before 21 and it was Tuesday). I ordered a clam spaghetti wich was far overcooked (I'm Italian, this is an unforgivable mistake) and a bit salty, than an artichoke (ok) and a cream&nut cake (nice... More

Don't go here unless You are Italian or at least speak Italien. One of the waiters (owner?) treated my family and myself like dirt! Another female waiter was just fine but it was a bit late for us... Food ok but we would n-e-v-e-r go again.

Da Teo was recommend to my wife and me by someone else staying at Hotel Gea, who had eaten there the previous night. He was unbiased and recommended it highly. We took a blind chance, made a reservation (necessary), and walked there. It was far but you cannot beat walking in Rome. It was not easy to find as there... More

Enzo is a restaurant that clearly positions itself towards the budget end of the eating spectrum. That's got to be a big draw, because the night I went (Thursday) many, many people were wating, with at least a decent distribution of locals. Service was a definite problem, but it wasn't the poor waitress' problem, it was just lack of staffing.... More
