The food was great, the room is full of atmosphere and they have a great wine list, all at a good price!! Can't complain at all
My first night here in Torino, I was fortunate to be included in a group of Italians who reserved a table for 8. The place is tiny and absolutely fabulous. We ordered many courses to share...delicate stuffed squash blossoms were moist and a nice departure from fried. The crisp grossini are good. My dining companion wanted me to taste pasta... More
We ate here during an overnight stay in Turin after a holiday through Piedmont. We walked past around 6.30 and thought it looked good so we knocked and made a reservation, solo glad that we did! The owner is a really nice guy and made sure that we were well taken care of, made some excellent suggestions and offered to... More
Great place to eat. Just had dinner there. Make reservations! We didn't, but were seated right away at an elevated bar table for 2. I recommend the agnolottini as a starter and the zabaglione dessert. Be sure to wash it down with some great Nebbiolo! The service was also very good. We showed up at 7:30 PM and it was... More
When you eat at a restaurant twice in four days while on vacation in Italy, its probably pretty good. L'Acino isn't fancy, the menus are simple paper folded in two and there's not a huge range of dishes. But WHAT dishes! The bagna cauda sauce over roasted red peppers was slurping thorough a straw worthy and they have to put... More
Our hotel recommended this restaurant when we asked for a simply place with good local food. And that is exactly what it is. The food not complicated, but good. Prices are very reasonable We didn't had reservations, but the owner arranged seats for us. However the service could have been better. Several times we had to wait a long time... More
Not haute cuisine, but solid good food, such as you always dream of finding while on vacation. Outstanding service, keen staff. The menu is one page, the wine list two. Who can ask for anything more? Thumbs up.
The food is absolutely delicious and he is a gracious host. He was always busy. Good to make reservations - otherwise you could be in for a wait. He was so nice to accomodate a group of us the last night before he went on vacation. I can't say enough good things - you have to try it. Wonderful!!!
I has dinner at L'Acino very recently. The location is very nice, in the centre of Turin, in an area off the traffic. We had tajorin with ragu, excellent pasta and excellent sauce as well, very well fitting with the pasta. Then I tried the "stracotto", a typical meat dish from Piemonte: this dish was also wonderful. We choose a... More
Great food. Great atmosphere. Great host. Whenever you are surrounded by locals you know you've made the right choice. The owner/server/chef (?) treated our party of 6 as if we were regulars too. The food was exactly what you expect from a good Italian meal. It was perfect.
