We couldn't get into da Pasquale our first night in lucca, but we ate there the remaining 2!! It was a fantastic experience!
For lovers of food and (especially) wine this is a must visit if in the area. We booked two days in advance for a table on Sunday evening, as we knew this place came highly recommended by locals and tripadvisor. And given how many people Pasquale turned away on the night it seems booking in advance is esssential (this is...

We would not have found this lovely little restaurant had it not been for Tripadvisor and it did not disappoint. Pasquale is a delightful host and is clearly passionate about the food and wine they serve which he describes in detail.
We went with his recommendation of the taster starters which were a breath of fresh air after overdosing on...

The wine list looks like something from a 5 star restaurant. The food was amazing. The service was above and beyond expectations. This was the best meal we had on a 3 week long trip through Spain Italy and France, and it wasn't close. The total bill for three courses with wine pairings was 80 Euros.
My wife and I have been coming to Lucca for five years and this restaurant surpassed every other one we have dined at. We were greeted by the owner who made it a point to attend to every table in the restaurant. Granted the restaurant is small but thats part of the charm and the attention to detail you receive....

Pasquale great host and knowledge of wine superb - all very good value as sold at shop retail prices so you get a decent bang for your buck - had some lovey Brunellos. Lovely atmosphere as well - ask to be seated at back when making...

Tucked away in the tiny backstreets of old town Lacca you will find this gem of a restaurant. Pasquale serves a mix of Sicillian and Tuscan food and has the best wine list in Lucca

To begin we had a reservation and when we arrived and told Pasquale we had a reservation, he said they were not quite ready, bunch of you know what. There was an area near the bar where we said...

We had the most fabulous experience here. the food was superlative, the wines proposed to accompany the different dishes were brilliant... and the atmosphere was wonderful.
A recommendation by new friends Ed and Mary led us to this wonderful restaurant. Pasquale was attentive from start to finish as we dined on gourmet Italian treats and sipped wonderful Italian wines (stories included) The breads, olive oil, delicious balsamics, complimentary dessert wines all complimented the beef and fish secondis. The restaurant is small and intimate - give it...
