Hungary, tired, wet but very relaxed after our Wine school diploma we sort a casual dinner experience in the old city of Siena. After one recommendation of a more highly thought out establishment was exhausted (full booked) we found DolceForte and the staff were welcoming, charming and most accomodating. We only could manage wine (more ) and a entree (serving... More

This place is not easy to find but worth the effort. The food and service are great. It is a very romantic place. The place is a gem. The owner has a smile for all. The pricing makes this one of the best values in Siena. We went backm3 times.

Finding Dolceforte after 5 days of pizza and lasagna was a delight! Very small, intimate restaurant which is located right down a side alley walkway from the main road. We ended up eating at the restaurant our last 3 nights. We had the chicken and steak dishes along with a warm salad of veggies which was new for me, but... More

Nice and warmly managed place close to centre (Piazza del Campo) but "not a Tourist" place. I recommend it to test real Tuscany receipt

After reading other bloggers on Trip Advisor I was expecting much more. The decor and ambience is pleasing and the menu is reasonably priced. However the meat sauce in my first course pasta dish was chewy and flavourless and the grilled chicken in my main course was wafer thin, over-cooked and dry. I would not return for another meal.

This is one of the best restaurants in Siena. Great food and great prices. I made a reservation to celebrate the end of the italian lessons. The place is beautiful, the customer service was excellent, and the prices quite reasonable considering that is two step from Piazza del Campo.

Lining the Campo are a ton of generic restaurants. Sure you could go to any of them and get something that is unlikely to give you food poisoning. Or you could walk a block and have a fantastic meal. Excellent quality food in a charming setting - especially if you like purple (for downstairs) or green or red (for the... More

Dolceforte dinner was simply amazing ... service kind and always on time since the moment we opened the door. Food was really very good. My preferred taste was for sure the cheese red rice! Perfect blend :-) ...

We had dinner here on a Friday evening. I had the ravioli with fresh tomatoes and pecorino, my wife had the sea bass pasta with tomatoes and my sister-in-law had the wild boar ragout with spaghetti. I didn't taste the sea bass but the wild boar and the ravioli were excellent. My wife tells me she enjoyed the sea bass.... More
