We wanted typically dutch and I think that's what we got, great choices of food, would recommend the Stamppot. Try it - popular with the locals too - would recommend booking
We visited this place on a Friday evening just by passing-very busy but a big enough place to cater for everyone. Would defo visit again.
We had dinner here as part of a Gate 1 Travel dinner and it was a lovely experience. Traditional Dutch food, staff is very friendly and helpful, it was a great time. Loved the genever toast at the beginning of dinner!

When friends and family come over to visit me in Amsterdam, I always save one dinner for Haesje Claes! The staff is very freindly, they speak almost every possible language, interact with guests, explain dishes profusely. Though tourist-targeted and often crowded (the queue outside the restaurant is usual), the service is efficient and quick. If you want to have a... More
The food is great but the atmosphere is incredible. The service is one of the best that you will get in Amsterdam. The Beguinage is only steps away, and well worth the visit.
We asked at our hotel for a good place with local food and this was recommended. Nice people and quite a comfortable setting. Service was attentive and quite friendly. I had the pickeled herring appetizer which was as good as it gets. Fresh and served with a small potato and a beet salad. With the bread it could be a... More

Stumbled on this restaurant while walking around the city. At last minute we were able to reserve for 10. Our experience was wonderful!! Food was superb as was our waiter and the atmosphere. Allowed to sit u and enjoy for 3 hrs. We all enjoyed it very much and would definitely recommend to others.
This is a cosy restaurant where you can try some authentic Dutch fair. The staff are friendly & menus are available in several different languages. Impressively, the staff speak several of those languages too! The food is hearty & good value. Make sure you go there hungry!
