We sat outside at a tiny table in the street along the canal. it was a good atmosphere, considering an unusually sunny day in Amsterdam. Food was tasty and good, and the menu quite comprehensive. However, the staff showed a definitely poor attitude.

Great food, we Had The panini with carpaccio, tried the sausage that turend out to be salame and the Caesar salad. it was a Sunny day and we sat outside. A shame the whole experience was ruined by the waiters terrible attitude towards us.
I went to this restaurant shortly after it opened, and it was a real discovery. I returned several times and was never disappointed. I looked forward to returning a few years later, but I came away feeling let down. Several of the dishes I had were exquisite, especially the scallops, but though I ordered four main dishes (such as they...

I truly believe that the success of any restaurant depends on many factors. I was a bit skeptical about Envy before we went there and basically because of its name. After all I can say that everything was just great - food, service, general atmosphere. The size of portions was the major mark in the references of the guests ,...

We sat for a last minute resort to an evening of our last night in Amsterdam. We had passed by it earlier on the 9 streets that we walked down earlier in the week to see the trendy shops etc. Envy is part of a chain with some of the same letters, nevy, Vyne, etc. Envy has an open kitchen...

A modern place, very Bussy , we went at 6 pm, immediately classified as not deserving of a table, and we're placed at a high bech style seating on very hard stools.
The maitre,d explained the little dishes, and said this was a fine dining place, he obviously need to get out more.
We ordered 2 glasses of Pinot noir,...

We went to Envy for dinner on a Saturday night as a large group of girls. We were sitting at a high table at the back of the restaurant which was perfect. The atmosphere in the restaurant is trendy and bustling and the service was good. The tasting menu was great and the attention to detail in all the dishes...

This was a "big city" type of place with lots of modern decoration and a hip vibe. True, the quality of the ingredients was very high and the preparation done professionally. The portions were quite small as noted by some other reviewers. Wine pours a little on the stingy side. All in all, the place made little impression and could...

The food was good but not great. It was a small plate format but frankly the plates were almost to small to share. Very dark but pleasant room. Good wine list at decent price points. The Dutch sausage to start was great also had the lamb which was nice. A good experience and although not perfect overall was good.
