After walking through the harbour area, looking for a restaurant to celebrate a special occasion, we decided for Mero. Beautiful modern interior, very friendly staff and very tasteful food. The 3 course menu of the day was an excellent choice. The dishes looked like small paintings and the taste was very surprising. A wide variety of wines makes the experience... More

After a good year end, I took a business colleague here to celebrate over a long lunch at short notice. Mero is certainly not economical, with our lunch (dish of the day was fresh lobster, which we both enjoyed, with fresh strawberries to follow) and drinks (bottle of middle class village chablis) coming in at ~120 Euros incl tip. However,... More

One of the best meals I've had in the three years we've lived here. Very relaxed atmosphere and fantastic service. We both opted for the surpise 3 course menu, and we were very happy with the surprise. All three course were beautifully presented and the flavours were well balanced and without fault, made us wish we had gone for the... More

Lived in the Hague 7 years bit was never a fan of most of the restaurants. This place though is special. Lovely decor. Superb wine And the Kamchatka King Crab legs are about 2 foor long! Simply cooked with garlic butter. Brilliant

Expat enjoying Dutch cuisine I recently moved to Den Haag for work and was told by colleagues at the office that “Mero Visrestaurant” was the place to go to for a good night with friends. I then decided to bring my friend visiting from London to the restaurant. Arriving at the restaurant I was surprised at how busy the restaurant... More

Our visit to Mero in the harbour of Scheveningen was a great success. Very good fresh fish combined with excellent (white) wines of a winemaker I never heart of (JanotsBos). The staff was very excited about their menu and gave us just the right advises. We will be back !

Just the best! Lovely seafood, the cute-looking black-clad staff make you feel welcome, they recommend fabulous wines and the food is to die for. And when you think it cannot get any better, try the chocolate soufflee with the hot liquid heart of melted chocolate - divine.
