My wife and I visited this restaurant several years ago and decided to have lunch there again when in Partimao. It was a miserable Monday morning and there was not much happening in Portimao. It's a very nice restaurant. Forget meat when you're eating here. It's all about fish. Especially the grilled Sardines are so tastfull, and it's cheap!
You can not find better or fresher fish, very well cooked outside on charcoal or deep fried as my carapaulinhos were. Friendly waiter, good house wines, very reasonable prices. Simple but authentic atmosphere. Just a few tourists, mainly locals.

The food (particularly fish) served at this restaurant is superb. Can really recommend the seafood rice and for 3 or 4 people they can usually cook one large bass between everyone which is so tasty.
Is not a fancy restaurant, but the fresh fish doesn't get any better then this. Octopus rice is a must as well. Decor is dated but fresh food is excellent. Love it.
Dona Barca Restaurant is a fantastic place to eat. A warm and friendly atmosphere. Staff always go the extra mile to please and all at a reasonable price. Not ripped off by hiking up wine charges, but quite limited on range, although house wines are very good.
We ate there 3 nights running, trying different fish and could not fault...
