This is a very small village near Sintra with one of the greatest landscapes Portugal can offer. I like the ocean brease between the rocks and I very much enjoy the restaurant on the ocean side. Try it.

If you think of Paradise, The Place to propose to That Special Girl, this is it! Stuning views! Great seafood! Very Friendly People! Thank you for bringing Heaven to Earth!
The restaurant is built on the cliff which offers a beautiful panoramic sea view. You wont be disappointed about the selection of fresh seafood however there's a big pricetag attached as well. Make sure you book in advance.
The restaurant is very well located, overlooking the sea, in one of the most pleasant locations around Sintra.
The food and service are good enough, although a bit expensive.

We were amazed with this location. Ocean. Rocks. Shape and sound of waves. Color of the water - always changing. Misty and humid, salty air. Don't miss this place if you're there!

If you like fresh fish, if you like sea, and if you like cosy and cosy environments you'll love this spot.
I definitely enjoy coming here from time to time. I consider it expensive, but I am always well attended and the food is quite good, offering an unique scenary, so I recommend.
Azenhas do Mar is a little old village located on the cliffs. The restaurant itself, is down, almost on the beach, with a great seaview. Fresh fish, with good staff, but could improve a little. Price is not cheap, but well worth the visit. Overall experience is excellent.
We "discovered" Azenhas and returned twice to eat there. Located above a large sea pool, the waves crashed a few metres below and so it was a wonderful theatre with the windows opening in the January sun. The staff spoke excellent english and we sampled fresh barnacles, razor clams, and grilled octopus. Ask for a window table in the non-smoking...
