Stopped in twice with my wife during a recent trip to Porto, and enjoyed it immensely both times. Shared several flights of ports to taste. Each flight was customized based on our previous tastes and likes/dislikes. Best part was being able to purchase bottles of the wines we liked to take with us.

We happened to go to Vinologia by accident...We dropped by in the afternoon, had a look at the menu and finally went back after dinner to have a nice tasting. My husband and I paid to taste 6 differents kinds of port accompanied with cheese, but we ended up tasting a lot more. On top of that, the owner gave... More

We went to this place after someone recommended it to us in Lisbon. It's a good place to learn about Port and try all kind of ports from small independent producers. The staff is friendly and helpful. He really wanted us to find bottles we really liked. You can even buy your port here at very good prices. We bought... More

This little French owned cafe is a gem. As people knowing very little about port - we had just come from Sandeman, interesting but commercial too - we went for the most basic menu, ranging from a dry white to a ruby heavy in tannins. Our own enthusiasm made the lady helping us that much more enthusiastic and we ended... More

Great port tasting experience in a cosy atmoshere! Tasted 6 ports (two white, two tawny & two vintage) with cheeses to accompany the ports. Owner is very knowledgeable about the ports and really enhanced the tasting experience. Nice to taste ports from some of the independent producers of the region too.

We love this place and have been each time we've been in Porto. A great, cozy place to taste some of the more unusual ports of the region rather than the big names. We did the horizontal tasting of colhietas (1995, 85 and 75) and then some vintage ports. Absolutely delicious and all with a free lesson thrown in. They... More

We went to this bar to taste the Porto wine and we love it. Very warm and cosy atmosphere. The owner Mr. Jean-Philippe give us a free lesson about wines and all about it. He make is job with passion and is very attentive to the guests. We taste 4 different types of Porto and one better than the other.... More

A great experience for tasting port. i didn't even think I liked port till I came here! A good central position and great to spend an hour before or after dinner. The ports are much nicer than the big companies produce though it is worth visiting them too.

In a three day trip to Porto, my friends and I visited Vinologia twice for port tastings. We had the same server both times and he was incredibly informative and friendly. I didn't know anything about Port, but the staff here not only explained the differences between varieties, but made great suggestions for our tastings. The atmosphere is cozy and... More
