People often say that it is hard to find gourmet restaurants in Uppsala. This one is a must if you want excellent Swedish food and good wines! There is a good choice of menus, which all seem to be well balanced. The food is local, so you really have the chance to taste Swedish food. I was surprised of the... More

We went for a weekend in Uppsala from Stockholm. We came during the afternoon checked in and had their tea (Nice!). After that we went for a walk in the central Uppsala visiting the cathedral, walking along Fyrinsån (the river) then walking uphill to the castle. In the evening we had Villa Annas seven course dinner and we truly loved... More

The atmosphere, the old historical surroundings of Uppsala, the service and a combination of excellent food and wine. Much of the food is both organic and locally grown, the wine often organic but for natural reasons not locally produced. ;-) In essence, the best dining experience in Uppsala!

The food and the wine was excellent, which you should expect at these high prices. The problem is that the dishes are small - really small. We almost went to McD after our 4-course dinner... Apart from this, it is a nice restaurant. The entirior and atmosphere is old-fashioned and still feels modern. But it is not 100% perfect, which... More

Expensive dishes, a little foo-foo, but tasty. Quaint location in what looks like a historical building.

My wife and I ate their as guests with a party of colleagues. The restaurant was elegant, the service outstanding, the wine very good. The kitchen attempted to produce outstanding food, sort of a take on nouvelle Swedish. The first course a take on venison was ok, the main course, moose steak was good, the desert was an awful concoction... More

A good attempt to create a topclass restaurant in Uppsala. Definitely in right direction but the ambitions not always 100% meeting the goals. Without doubt a very nice food expirience, good choice of wines mostly ecologic, well served and ambitious level not slipping away in unnecessary complications. Still more needed to defend the pricelevels, also the restaurantroom lacks the ability... More

Sitting in the outdoor area is truly amazing. The spot is fantastic, you got a view of the castle, dome, park and carolina. The house is nicely renovated and the indoor lounge really comfy. The food is very good. But please improve the service. The staff was unattentive, slow and did not take any initiatives.

Relaxed outdoor dining during the summer months. Probably the best Uppsala has to offer right now. (2010-07)
