This place is a favourite with the locals for serving the best ice cream in the world. Other then that, it's just a small local shop. The ice cream is home made and the recipie remains a secret. The locals will drive there no matter the weather and enjoy a delicious ice cream in the warmth of their car!

This place is so popular, people from Reykjavik make it a point to get ice cream here when they are in Akureyri. I will echo everything the other review says from Leejl. Also a little grocery shop there, so you could pick up a tin of Skyr for breakfast, should you so desire. Open till 11pm, so feel free to... More

A wonderful family-owned ice cream place in the old section of Akureyri. It's a little ways from downtown, either a short car ride or long walk from the center of town. However, the ice cream is well worth it. They offer lots of toppings as well. The store also sells other sweets.
