We went to get the forget-me-not burger and although it didn't blow me out of the water it was pretty good. I don't think I will be craving it but I enjoyed trying something new. The atmosphere was very local, we enjoyed our time here.

We rented an apartment a few doors down, and it took me a few days to discover this place. I quickly became addicted to the Forget-Me-Not Blue cheese burger, wow, a cheesy tangy mess of goodness. The restaurant/bar is very plain, but has a great local hangout feel to it, Three burgers in three days later, I am now home... More

We stopped in for the Forget-Me-Not burger and it was delicious. The prices were a nice surprise in the expensive city and it had a great atmosphere.

Nice little bar that serves tasty burgers (and steak) that won't break the bank. Mum and I thought we'd give the place a try as it was just up the road from our apartment (Alfred Apartments). I thoroughly enjoyed my blue cheese burger and the very large portion of fries that came with it. The menu comes in English if... More

If you feel like either having hamburger or steak, this is the place to be in Reykjavik. Ok it is a little out of the way (still 101 though) and the woman working there isn't exactly always in top form, but the food is great. When going for the steak make sure you have it with brown sauce. I cpuld... More

After spending a whole day on Laugavegur, we stopped off at Vitabar to get some burgers, fries and large cokes. Food was really good, though I gotta say that the bartender/server looked like she didn't want to be there. Towards the end, you can just tell that this is just her personality, which added a bit of extra charm to... More

Every two or three months we pop round to Vitabarinn for a quick meal. From the outside Vitabarinn looks to be a rather uninviting little bar, and inside it‘s quite dark with seven or so tables and a few bar stools. But, you quickly accept it for what it is – an unpretentious, cosy little neighbourhood bar where most people... More

Vitabar is a very basic bar with seat for about 30 people. Unlike most bars in Reykjavik, they serve very good food. Unlike most bars in Reykjavik, they don't try to be a "restaurant", they're a classic burger joint. Therefore, they serve only three things (in a number of variations): hamburgers, sandwiches and a steak (that comes with chips, two... More
