After reading two amazing reviews back to back I had to go feast at Austur Inda Fjelagid. Don't ask me what this means and be prepared to walk by it - it wasn't at all obvious to me. I still didnt see a sign on the way out. You'll see the menu on the outside wall but more obvious is... More

Indian food, Icelandic ingredients - it works quite well. Lamb dishes absolutely superb - really high quality meat. Tandoori lobster delicious as well. Very pricey though, and if you're used to British Indian restaurants you might be disappointed: the poppadoms were grilled not fried (and not very well grilled at that - but they took them off the bill when... Glad we read the previous reviews! We liked it a great deal. I don't have a lot to add from extensive previous reviews. Try the tandori lobster! Wish the mango lassi serving size was a bit larger.

As a vegetarian, I was thrilled to find a nice sit-down restaurant in beautiful Reykjavik with plenty of tasty vegetarian options. Nice ambiance and friendly service. HIghly recommended. Like everything in Iceland, though, it was not cheap, coming to about $100 for 2 people.

We recently spent a couple of days in Iceland as part of a three-week trip to Europe and this was one of the best meals we had the entire trip. The staff were friendly and accommodating -- we were jetlagged and on a weird time frame and they were kind enough to let us sit down for dinner 15 minutes... More

I live in India now and can say the food here is really good. Better than most Indian places outside of India, in fact. We came more for the "why not" factor of eating Indian food in Iceland. Turned out it was our favorite meal during a three day visit to the city.

Indian which apparently has been around for quite while. The design a bit more modern than the average Indian, but the food all the more delicious. If you're looking for non icelandic cooking for a change, I'd recommend this place!

A staffer at the 101 Hotel recomemnded this restaurant. She indicated it would be very good. However, I had no idea it would be as good as it was!! A short walk from our hotel and what an amazing meal. The wait staff was excellent, very attentive but not overdone! Fast and very courteous service. Amazingly fresh food. It's not... More
