I am a vegetarian and its sometimes challenging to find dining options in Vienna that aren't wienerschnitzel or something wrapped around a hot dog, but this cabbage pasta was amazing! Please send me the recipe!

Visited late afternoon. Everthing was lovely - the tea, the cakes, the piano played beautifully. My only problem was that the waiter cleared the dirty dishes away but did not wipe the table. Cafe Central is a beautiful cafe in the old town of Vienna - the perfect place for a Viennese breakfast of croissant, bread with jam, soft boiled egg, and of course a delicious coffee! Enjoy!

Central cafe is authentic Viennese restaurant located right in the heart of Vienna. Maybe My taste buds are just not used to Viennese cuisine, but I was not a fan at all. We had a late lunch here.... beef tartare which is every bit as good as what we have had in Paris.... and the cream of white asparagus soup... wonderful! The inside of this establishment is excitingly old and formal, and yet casual for the patrons. Don't miss it!

Very beautiful building, superb cakes, excellent teas and coffees, great service, great location. My favourite in Vienna!

The best cakes I have ever tried in my life are here, in Cafe Central !!! Lovely atmosphere, live misic and quite good service! I can not compare the prices as we had just cakes and coffee there. Coffee was rather good but the cakes were marvellous!!!
