Restaurant is now closed.Back in 2009 we said "Only eaten there once having passed it for years and thought that looks quite nice we should stop by! Once inside more like a cafe than restaurant with food okay but average. Shame as given location, lack of competition and large holiday camp nearby it could be so much better. I would... More

My family and I have been going to Michaelangelo's for nearly every birthday, mothers's/father's day etc for the past fourteen years, and we love it. Admittedly, the service is sometimes slow but it is always served with a smile and we've never once had to complain. I'm writing this today although I'm going tonight, but I have total faith in... Having lived in Italy for 6 months, I'm familiar with what a good Italian restaurant is. This is pretty much the exact opposite. The menu claims everything is 'made fresh to order'. Fresh from the freezer, that is. While the menu is wide and varied, the food is largely available from any good supermarket's freezer. When we complained at the... More

If you want a posh meal dont go to this traditional Italian style restaurant. There is a good variety of choice with every type of pasta, pizza, meat, and vegetarian options on the menu. It is great value for money, and everything is cooked to order - hence the service is 'take-away' quick. At busy, high season go early or... More

We waited ages for food or a drink, the pizzas were ok but the pasta dish was bland and tasteless. We complained to a waitress who said the manager wouldn't refund the dish as we hadn't returned it immediately! The manager then appeared and said I couldn't have a refund as I had "played with my food". I had tried... More

We ate here just last week and it was truly dreadful, I had a homemade lasagne that tasted like a fishermans sock...only less tasty and way more expensive! The tiny portion size was a complete joke. A customer on a nearby table also complained about her meal with no apology or reduction in bill. There is a Spar shop nearby,... More

We have been coming here since they opened back in 1991, (my parents live locally) It was one of the first European restaurants to open in the area bringing choices only available in big towns & cities. The place has seen many changes but the core food is still home made on the premises & the best fresh pizzas ever.... More

We visited Michelangelo's on the last day of our short break and had a great meal. I had the meatballs and tagliatelle with peppers and mushrooms and it was delicious, lovely fresh ingredients. The owners made our baby daughter very welcome even though she was very noisy that night! Would recommend highly.
