Great cocktails and atmosphere, we felt like we were on a long distant holiday destination. Nice street side seating to soak up the holiday atmosphere.

If you like Tapas, you're best off avoiding. The menu sounds quite nice and im sure they have the odd bit that's ok on a good day but generally poor. We were served dead (closed) mussels and a variety of shattered shells in some kind of watery sauce. I pointed this out to the waitress who said "yeah, you sometimes...

but great choice of wines - particuarly Spanish ones - did not eat here but liked the look of it. Lots of tables outside too where you could sit in the sun - if we ever get any! and watch the world go by
Food all arrived at once and clearly not freshly cooked as some dishes were dry and others cold. Waitresses were abrupt and uninterested. Were in upstairs restaurant. Cask beer from ground floor bar was good. Wine list didn't even have a white wine from Spain! They would do better reducing the size of the tapas menu and cooking it fresh....

Tapas was ok - just ok, a little on the expensive side. Restaurant quiet when we went and staff were not really interested in us as customers - felt like we were a bit in the way. Place could do with a clean up. We are local and were glad we were not on holiday as I think we would...

I used to love Bodega as their is no other place like this in Bowness or Windermere. Friendly staff, tasty food and cheap cocktails. However cleanliness went so downhill I don't even know where to begin. Toilets need proper scrubing as it was repulsive, something looking like poo in the sink!!! Until this place won't come back to its old...

Didnt eat here and wouldnt if the state of the kitchen matches that of the bar/toilets. Visited early Saturday evening about 7pm just after arriving in Bowness. Bar staff more interested in chatting with each other than monitoring bar for customers. Took a while to attract attention. Lager was not great and white wine warm - when I asked if...

Just left having had an enjoyable meal. Great selection which was very tasty. Could not fault it at all. Well worth a visit. You will not be disappointed. We certainly enjoyed it!!!
I visited the bodega tapas bar with my husband. It was quite nice, small portions as we cleared everything! Really good squid. The restaurant had a good atmosphere and the staff were pleasant.
Our second visit here in the last 4 years. Food is nice and spot on for me as I always fancy a selection of plates to pick on but some items are very overpriced. For example one pepper halved and filled with melted cheese was around £6 which although tasty was in no way value for money. However there are...
