On a side street off the main road from the lakeshore, well worth a visit for good value food and snacks with very friendly and amiable staff.
Great place to eat with a nice selection of snacks, meals and the all important cakes and deserts, Great service and a great location too, Would recommend a visit here.
Although the cafe is in a perfect spot in Bowness and the staff were very welcoming and friendly I felt let down by the coffee. I ordered my usual Americano but it was from a home style coffee maker. I am presuming they don't have a proper machine that grinds coffee due to lack of space in the kitchen but...

We stopped in here for lunch, the weather was freezing, but the restaurant really warm. The welcome couldn't have been friendlier. Lunch was lovelly exactly what we needed (jacket potatoes) and all for a reasonable price. We would definately go back. It is a small restuarant, but I would reccommend waiting for a table.

We had lunch at 2 egg cups on 17th march. Food was lovely and service great. We both had cheese scone with black pudding and poached egg......very nice!
