We have just returned from 2 nights here over the bank holiday weekend. It's in a great location if you fancy seeing Windermere, Grassmere, Ambleside etc and has great views over the country side from the outside drinking area. The outside had heaters and blankets so you could enjoy yourselves even when it was chilly and the atmosphere was great... More

WE called in for a bar lunch. What a super pub. A great welcome and a lot of fun from the young lady who said that she had worked there for 23 years. She must have been born working, she only looked 23. The food and service were excellent we will return. The pub is part of a chain. If... More

Having been to the Masons Arms on many occasions, I can highly recommend it. It is a perfect place to go on a summer's day and enjoy a beer overlooking the fells. They do the most amazing selection of beers including lots of delicious fruit beers such as Damson and raspberry.

Staff were very welcoming and helpful. The food and service were fantastic. The Strawberry Bank Suite was romantic, yet relaxing. My new favourite little getaway in the country.

Good and simply British cooking at this quaint old pub near Windermere. Friendly staff. Good range of beers and wines to choose from. Would like to come back in daylight to see the views!

Pretty pub, lovely setting. Lots of corners & nooks to be cosy in. Restaurant upstairs very comfy. Served tasty, well presented food in an unhurried way. As we were walk ins & had not booked it was pleasant to be given the time to enjoy our meal in an unrushed manner.

We had booked in to stay a night in one of the pubs rooms, The room was nicely decorated with its own kitchenette. The bed was on a mezzanine floor above the kitchen area. We went to the pub for dinner and it was extremely busy on a Thursday night, we were shown to our table and given a menu,... More

The pub was recommended by our B&B owners. Welcoming barman and friendly waiting staff. Had a fabulous choice of food found it difficult to choose! Good idea to book a table as it seems very popular. It's an all round great pub with great food and great atmosphere!
