Really great fine dining-and there is some stiff competition in Ilfracombe. We have tried a good number of the higher rated restuarents in the town but this really did stand out. Decor is fine, service is fien, it's the food which will impress.

We had a meal at Seventy One on a Saturday night and my partner and I both agree that this was the best restaurant in Ilfracombe. The portion sizes were perfect, not too much, not too little and the quality of the food was fantastic. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was cosy and romantic. We would...

This is our third visit to this restaurant and the food was very good again. There is a varied choice of about six starters, mains and puddings with specials also available. We all enjoyed every course and we all chose different. The hake was delicious and so well prepared. We have always gone as a family with older children, though...

Trying to find a restaurant in Ilfracombe to accommodate 14 people for Sunday lunch in December wasn't easy....and then I happened upon the Seventy One website. Food looked great so I thought I'd book it. Turns out the restaurant doesn't normally open on Sunday lunchtimes, however as we were a large party they made a special dispensation for us. And...

Lovely food, great staff and just amazing overall! Prosecco is amazing and reasonably priced. Would recommend this restaurant every day of the week. My food was amazing but had food envy over everyone else's dishes! Yum.
My husband and I had walked past the restaurant several times during our summer holidays and liked the look of the menu so we booked it for our wedding anniversary on 6th October. We had viewed the menu online during the day and made our choice to have fillet steak with a Madeira sauce for our main course before we...

Having walked past this restaurant several times and viewed the menu. We decided to make a visit. We were so gald we did. The food and presentation was really excellent. A small place so you need to book, particularly in high season. I am looking forward to returning. I did laugh at the bikes on the wall by the toilets...

We ate here on our second night and unfortunately, compared to our meal on the first evening at The Olive Room, this was disappointing. It's hard to put a finger on it, but we just felt something was lacking and, admittedly, the fact that we had to send back one of the starters because the bread had a very visible...

Visited this Restaurant on our business trip. It made it on our "short list" of places to visit again. Very cozy, romantic place with a nice wine list. Food was good, as was the dessert. Pork Wellington was spot-on, as was the brownie. The wine was a very nice well rounded French that was a great pick to the dinner.
We chanced upon Seventy One while wandering around Ilfracombe looking for somewhere to eat. The menu looked good, the price was fine so we went in and were lucky enough to get a table. The food was really good and perfectly cooked, service was good and we werent rushed.
My husband had scallops to start and I had the lobster...
