Enjoyed our meal. Both of us had different plats du jour, very typical of the region. Dont expect an American menu- this is France and Sarlat is in the heart of it all so eat as the French would! Wine list is expensive given this is a huge wine region, there could be more choices of lower cost wines

We went with a group of friends. Staff were very accomodating and looked after us well. Food is standard Perigord tourist fare (truffle omelettes, foie gras, steak frites etc). Food was fine, but is not going to trouble the Michelin Guide. We had a very enjoyable evening though, helped by good company and plenty of wine.

Nothing great about this restaurant. The food was okay but not the most interesting. We were appalled when they made us keep our silverware from the appetizer to the main course - the only place in France this happened.

Meal was cold and undercooked. Give this place a big miss.

Lovely little restaurant set in the back streets of Sarlat. Food was very reasonably priced at 3 course for less than €15. I recommend the Coq au Vin which was divine. At the back of the restaurant is a little secret which i wont spoil but well worth a visit for.

We chose this restaurant by our usual criteria that it was busy on a wet market day. Big mistake. We should have walked out straight away after noting the attitude of the waiting staff - good food could never be served by such sour faces. To cut the chicken in the Coq au vin was impossible - it was tough... More

The location is excellent the indoor cave is a plus, they could do average and get away with it. I hadn't been for 3 years and gave it another try. It was below average in the past, now it is just so poor. The service is such a travesty, no care, no interest in the client...just get you in and... More

Busy bistro tucked away in a quieter part of Sarlat; all the food served around us looked good - best value value is the fixed price lunch.

A couple of years ago this was the pick of the touristy restaurants, never great, but good value and adequate. However in September 2010 it has sadly slipped behind even the horrendous Hotel du Commerce the abysmal Bedaine and the cheap and cheerful Chez Vicky. What all these restaurants have in common is location. Their business therefore is getting people... More

I feel bad for some who come to a French restaurant and expect North American food. We have been in France for 20 days and I think this restaurant does a fine job and very good local flavor. I wish I could return for another fine meal at a very good price.
