My husband and I stayed in Kinsale from 3 - 5 May. We were recommended Crackpots. We tried to book but unfortunately, it was booked out. We were encouraged to come later anyway to hear the Jazz Pianist and were promised a seat at the bar. They ended up giving us a table when it became free and we had... More

Our evening was somewhat spoilt by a large and very noisy group of guys at a table next to us. The food was fine if a bit pedestrian and, as others have said, rather overpriced.

We had a wonderful family dinner at Crackpots last Thursday after a long drive down from Dublin at the end of a day's work. The folk were welcoming and talkative, but not overly so: just the way you'd want them to be. The food was excellent if slightly pricey: I had butternut squash and ginger soup then my favourite John... More

Having been to Crackpots on a night out with Girlfriends and having been very satisfied that time, I chose to book Crackpots for my Birthday night out with my Boyfriend. Unfortunately this time I cant say I was very impressed with the standard of Food in the Restaurant. Also, we were not impressed with the table we were given, being... More

I haven't been here in a long time probably a year and a half - but the food was very good (I was there twice) on both occasions and it was relatively easy to get a table. the service was friendly and not over bearing.

Our first night in Kinsale, Noreen at the Old Presbytery Inn (awesome, stay there! see my separate review) recommended this place. It was very, very tasty. They even brought out an amuse-bouche- compliments of the chef. That was the only time during our 10 day trip that I think we were presented an amuse-bouche. There's plenty of choice on the... More

We just had a main course and wine but were impressed -- I had lovely salmon. The live piano music wasn't great but the staff were lovely and the food above average (we'd book it again).
