Best Sunday lunch carvery in Cornwall. Wonderful hosts, all staff were so freindly and welcoming. The setting is superb and just what you would expect with a name like The Smugglers.

Lovely quaint historic building. Friendly staff, great choice of dishes on the menu. Salmon was the best I've ever had, melted in the mouth. Was served with three large new potatoes. chips, green beans and ratatouille - as well as salad garnish and hollandaise. Absolutely delicious.
Olde worlde ambience is not my choice but this is (mostly) genuine old and still works well so I and many more enjoy it. More importantly if hungry, the food is simple but very good - superb scallops and fish with plentiful vegetables included in the price (no annoying 'sides'). Puddings/sweets looked enormous (lots of cream) and people were really...

Love this restaurant, and am lucky enough to live locally and use frequently. We know what we like and we like what we know. Excellent friendly staff, large portions of quality food and nothing is too much trouble. If you are on holiday in Looe Smugglers Cott is a 'must visit' location with it's olde worlde charm, sloping floors and...

Eating at the Smugglers Cott I felt like a real pirate! The atmosphere makes you feel like a smuggler in the olde days, the restaurant is lit by candles and gas lanterns. Menu was wonderful and food exceptional.
Good service, extensive menu, nice atmosphere, we had steak and salmon, both of which were perfectly cooked and delicious, vegetables also good.
The Smugglers Cott is definitely worth a visit, the food is always lovely, the portions are huge, and the decor is straight from the timbers from the Spanish Armador.
Two of our party had the Carvery, it lookes as though it had been out for hours and we did not receive good service. It was clean and a nice surrounding. Would not go back
We ordered the ling and the sea bass, both 10/10. Both were amazing. We have eaten in St Ives and Fowey and the Looe fish was the best we have ever eaten. Potatos were also fantastic. Puddings delicious - panna cotta and chocolate trifle. House wine perfectly acceptable.
Superb atmosphere and attentive staff - best whitebait and steamed potatoes we've ever had. My 9-year old daughter ate a whole sole after pinching most of mine last time!
