Marque is quietly set admist the Crown St eateries. The restaurant itself is quiet and cosy and very polished. We had the 8 course degustation with the cheese course. My husband booked Marque for my birthday. Its meant to be the best restaurant in Sydney this year according to AGFG but it didn't live up to expectations. What great value. $45 for 3 courses (they throw in anopther 2) for a 3 hat restaurant. This only happens on Friday for lunch and is a real treat. Took forever to get a booking... "Oh, we're booked out months in advance...". Restaurant on the Monday dinner sitting was less than half full. Service staff were hesitant, adding no sense of occasion or cheer to the experience. No interest in whether we enjoyed the meal, no comment when some dishes were cleared uneaten.
