We went to Quay on 16 June 2013. The food and wine were excellent with a couple of courses 'to die for' delicious. However we felt our reception was aloof and service very slow to start and a little pretentious when it did arrive. Cost was high, but I guess this is due to the location. Overall worth going to... The first thing you should know is that you must spend at least $195 per person. There is an 8 coarse digestive for $295 but the minimum is $195 for 4 coarses (weather you want 4 or not). That would normally be fine if each $50 coarse was worth it - but it wasn't. Most plates wern't finished, no one... More

I attended the restaurant with work colleagues and was by impressed. We had the tasting menu, and this was a fantastic introduction to the menu. Very nice food, views were excellent and the staff were very informative. The wines matched the food perfectly with the assistance of our personal sommelier. I will definitely be returning. I a word, exquisite.

The food at quay is very underwhelming. We went for dinner and did the tasting menu. The only noteworthy item was the snow egg which was tasty and had interesting textures. All other dishes were lackluster and also tiny serves. The view is nice but the restaurant itself is boring and the fixtures and fittings are very old and not... More

Last night was our third visit to Quay and our 3rd time having the 8 course tasting menu with matching wines. It was our 20th wedding anniversary. The food was yet again amazing. We asked for the maltose crackling pig jowl (from the 4 course menu) to be included and something else removed because this dish is simply to die... More

Hubby and I have been going to Quay for many years, long before Masterchef made this olace a household name. We went again for dinner on Saturday night. To say we were disappointed in the food would be an understatement. We both had marron for the starter. While 'nice' the serving was ridiculously small. I've had prawns larger than the... More

This was my surprise for mine and my husband's first anniversary. In October, he started to try to get a reservation for January and was only able to get a reservation through American Express Concierge. We had the tasting menu. Everything was so tasty and perfectly presented. The Line caught iki jime Tasmanian Squid was the stand out favorite of... More

I had been looking forward to my trip to Quay for months and was slightly disappointed The good ; The service - perfectly pitched to us, not wanky or over the top ( although I'm sue they can do that too) The setting - need I say more The strawberry guava snow egg - the most sublime thing I have... My son and now daughter-in-law chose the Green Room at Quay restaurant for their wedding reception. The entire evening could not have been more perfect. The view was amazing with the back drop to the wedding party being Sydney Opera House with Vivid Sydney lights. The meal was amazing with each course complementing the last. The staff were exceptional! Every... More

Excellent for corporate entertainment, great location in the harbour overlooking the opera house. Very good and professional service. This is a modern take on many classic ingredients, done together to create special flavour experiences. Go here if you are looking for something different and a modern gourmet experience. Dont go he if you are looking for a steak and a... More
