Japanese ten-course degustation menu was world-class with matching service standards by the staff on hand. Worthwhile considering if trying to impress someone special!

6 of us had dinner this week and thoroughly enjoyed the 10+ course degustation. Took our own wine and sommelier looked after us brilliantly. Service was flawless. I'm amazed this restaurant doesn't feature higher in Australian and World rankings. It is world class and has been since it opened all those years ago.

We visited Tetsuyas for my birthday with two friends, and after having heard all the hype about the excellence of the place, of course had high expectations... Major disappointments were the very ordinary room we were sat in (looked like a conference room had been set up for dinner). No love anywhere, even the table setting was bland and ordinary.... More

My wife and I have dined at Tetsuya's quite a few times over the past 10 years and last nights devastation meal was as special as each of the previous times we have visited. They now offer only a fixed price devastation menu ( 10 courses) and at $210 a head, wine not included, you need a deep wallet. The... More

It is easy to see why Tetsuya is legendary in Australia The influence of his cooking style can be seen in trendy restaurants everywhere. Food quality was also very, very consistent which is surprising because in top restaurants like these you often have hits and misses esp for a degustation menu. However, I must say it was not so easy... More

With all the hype that surrounds this restaurant, we thought that we should try this out once-in-a-lifetime. On our arrival we were seated in a small tacky room, not the main dining room. Is it was a celebration, we started with champagne, which cost us $40 glass. He probably bought the whole bottle for the cost of those 2 glasses.... More

We dined here on Friday 24th May 2013 - A party of 4 vegans for my sisters 40th birthday. We booked 6 months in advance - and were assured that they could happily accommodate a menu option for vegans are apart of Tetsuya’s ten course degustation menu. However - on the night - were advised the chefs were - "flying... More
