Beautiful looking bar and very knowledgeable staff. Both the cocktails and the food were amazing. A little expensive but well worth it. This place does it right
I stumbled on this gorgeous venue on a brief business trip to Adelaide. I was there during aperitivo hour (5pm-7pm) and was very happy with the antipasto dishes available. I orderd an aperol spritz and a local SA white wine. Gorgeous gorgeous interiors and I think it would have an even better ambience in the evening! A definite must for... More
We visited in a group of eight none of whom lived in Adelaide. We were pleasantly surprised to enjoy good food, reasonable service and a wine list so extensive it needed a separate index! The atmosphere is a little noisy, and the clatter of people going up and down the wooden stairs is disruptive if you are siting out the... More
Fourth time at this venue and it never misses a beat! If your in a larger group the atmospheric cellar is the choice, while the quirky ground floor is great for couples and smaller groups. This time we opted for the 7 course taster and it was fantastic! Excellent selection of unusual beers too!
I mentioned this restaurant in a recent review because it is simply one of the best. If you are in Adelaide and want an intimate night with your partner, then this is the place! Also make sure you book, as the first time we had to wait outside until a table was free. During our first visit we received the... More
I went on my own and had the veal with a side of delicious potatoes, accompanied by a glass of Pinot Gris. Gorgeous. The staff were brilliant and attentive to an older lady on her own. Loved it.
We loved the sound of this place and as it was really close to our hotel we just had to try it. We opted for the Chef's Choice and we were not disappointed. I only eat fish and fowl, but this proved to be no obstacle to the talented people in the kitchen. The meal they delivered was delicious and very... More
I expected far better bearing in mind the reviews and Adelaide has always had very good quality restaurants. There were a dozen of us. We had the banquet that was recommended to us. It was ordinary and some left hungry. I would not return again. A dozen visitors who regularly visit Adelaide. Not the way to expect a return visit.
Our Daughter selected this Restaurant for her 21st venue. Brilliant Choice- thanks to Maitre de David and his assistants whom made it a fantastic evening. Nothing was a problem , wine selection, food quality and value excellent. We had an almost separate room downstairs with great atmosphere and privacy. Would definately go back when back in Adelaide.
Recommended by our wine tour guide due to the extensive wine list. The setting was great and made for good conversation (looking at all the old medicine bottles). The staff was very friendly and helped choose a great wine for us. The food was first rate. Overall a great meal and night!
