the food and service here is always excellent. They make you feel really special and well looked after from the minute you walk in. It is always really busy but they will try and do their best to find you are table if you are a walkin. Always enjoy my meals here.

My partner and I went in to order take away, the place was packed and yet we didn't have to wait long. All the staff were lovely to us and other patrons entering the restaurant. If you are in Hobart definitely make a stop here. You won't regret it!

Solo Pasta and Pizza may not look like the premier Italian restaurant in Hobart but the quality of the food and service make it a great night out. Even a taste of grappa was just a final delightful touch. It is noisy, full and has a nice tone - nothing is too much trouble - this is a restaurant that... More

A tiny storefront, so easy to walk past, but do yourself a favour and walk in and order some great italian food! Wether you eat in or take away you will have what I regard as the best pizza and pasta to be found in hobart. The staff are brilliant, led by the wonderful Simon.

WOW! Top food. Best pasta i have ever had (and i have had a lot of pasta over the years) The service is simply outstanding. Very polite and well presented staff who actually know the menu well. And the owner/manager is one of the most outgoing friendly and fun people you will ever meet. Oh and the prices were just... More

Tripadvisor is the reason why we travelled across town to Solo Pasta & Pizza. The service was spot on, the food was wonderful though we had to wait for our meals a little longer than expected. Yes it is busy and noisy and you need to book.

Never been to hobart before and checked out the no 1 rated onhere and called 20 mins ahead to be advised that we could get a table in the window for 2 at 8pm. Happy with that we headed over. When we arrived we were welcomed like we were locals by Simon one of the owners, sat down and Simon... More

Ate here last night. Fantastic service - the two hosts that attended our table were friendly local guys willing to offer advice on the menu and also have a chat. Made the experience so enjoyable. We ordered an entree sized gnocchi and this was the only mistake we made - not ordering a main size. This was the best gnocchi... More

Yes, it is true that the restaurant seems always to be crowded. We ate early on a weekday night, and all the tables were full. Great selection of pizza and delicious. Very casual, and a welcoming atmosphere. Excellent value for delicious food.

I always make a point of visiting the top rated spots, whenever I'm out of town. Solo popped up as #1 in Hobart so off we trekked on a very quick taxi ride from the CBD. Amazing service....Simon (the owner) dances through the tables making everyone feel like they are the only customer in the restaurant. Rebecca looked after us... More
