Everything about our evening was terrific and memorable. The food - we had a six course vegetarian tasting menu with matching wine - was beautiful to behold, extraordinarily creative and composed, and absolutely wonderful to eat. Each course was full of surprise and delight. Our waiter, Patrick, was spot on as well: always on hand when needed (without hovering) and...

We found it very dark. the drinks very expensive but the glasses beautiful. The rooms elegant but dark. The wine list small and very expensive. the receptionist wonderful and very welcoming and an asset to the restaurant.
My wife and I went about 2 months ago. I didn’t want to review it so ‘annoyed‘ I was. I know how hard chefs and waiters work, but maybe – though I doubt – this review might help them.
It started badly: the menu is non-existent, not appealing: you recite ingredients and hope for the customer to dream and wish...

We ate here in January 2013. The location is a bit odd as it is in what seems like a business district and slightly out of the way. This made us feel unsure if we had done the right thing in deciding to come here, but we shouldn't have worried.
The restaurant has a truly unique atmosphere as they have...

If you want to impress and you have a very healthy wallet then very stylish , grown up.intimate.Food was all very good, inventive and nicely plated. Service was excellent accept when the cork broke on a very expensive bottle, the waiter ran off to decant the wine... Not really worldly service.except for that ,the ambiance was of a high end...

Great ambience, very San Francisco. Booth tables were really surprisingly easy to sit at and chat, even though only 3 of us. The service was a bit too attentive at times. Food was excellent - totally recommend the beef, delicious, as were the petit fours - don't miss them!
We had a tasting menu with wine. We loved the ambiance of the place. The service was good, but maybe a bit too professional if you get my drift. We also loved that the place wasn`t too loud, you could actually hear yourself think which we find pretty hard at some other restaurant where everyone are shouting around the tables....

I love the decor at Clooney, there is no other restaurant like it in Auckland. On this occasion we were at one of the smaller tables which isn't quite as much fun as a booth but still comfortable and lots of space. We had the 6 course tasting menu, my husband had the wine matches. Service was good - mainly...

Whilst the food here was fantastic the thing that sets it apart for me is the fantastic layout of the place - you sit in small groups of tables separated by sheer drapes which help to make you feel like you are tucked away in your own private room despite being in the middle of a busy restaurant. I go...
