The Innkeeper in Johnsonville is small select pub with a very good selection of beers and wines and have very good food at very reasonable prices.

“Great Irish Pub”

We came upon this pub after a walk into Johnsonville from Newlands. While we didn't eat here we enjoyed drinks (particularly the Guinness) and nibbles. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming to us visitiors from 'The Mainland'!! Great atmosphere and we visited several times during our stay. We'll be back next time.

A bit of a surprise discovery in suburban Johnsonville, this 'Irish pub' has a great environment for an evening out, on your own or in company. The menu has a wider range than traditional pub fare, though all the favourites are there too. I ate here 2 nights out of 3 during a recent stay in Wellington

We discovered The Innkeeper shortly after moving to the area April last year, and have been back too many times to keep count. I think technically it's an "Irish Pub" or sports bar, but we only go there to eat. They have a great guinness and beef pot pie and we've also had the speights fish and chips, irish stew,... More
