The menu and staff were amasing. We ordered the meat platter for two. Looked amasing but one of the ribs tasted odd, Gave me the runs the next day . I guess I was just unlucky ..mmm

This was a real discovery on Riccarton Road near Hagley Park. Great Kiwi pub, something always going on, with a special most nights of the week bringing the cost of food and drink down. Good pizzas and sharing platters, good place to watch sport and catch up with friends.
Very good steaks, cooked to perfection and quickly, friendly staff and good parking.Tuna steak was very good its a must try (cooked rare is spot on ) pricing is just above average but the quality is well above every where else we've eaten
thursday night steak night. for $13.50 u get 250g steak fries and salad. cant go wrong. Great outdoor area along with good back ground music
Nice décor, friendly staff. Specials most nights. We had steaks which were excellent. Bar area lively - obviously a popular place.

My wife and I...

These guys were very busy when we arrived but unlike Trevinos they fell over backwards to get us and other people a table. They have a bar section with a good range of beers and a seperate quieter dining area. The whole place was clean and to a high standard.
The food was competitivly priced with a good selection. I...

For our first meal in New Zealand after a long international flight, we shared the lamb pizza. It was unique, delicious, and fairly priced, as were the New Zealand wine and beer we tried (of the extensive list on offer). Atmosphere and service are very informal, which was perfect for a casual lunch.
Went for the 'famous' ribs, but found there was more fat than meat on them so was a little disappointed with the quality if the meal.
Then depsite it only being 9.30pm the staff started clearing all the empty tables, there were only 2 other diners tathis time, in readiness to close up - making us feel like we had...

It was a busy Thursday nite and so there was a wait for table service, but the place is clean and friendly with a mixed crowd. The meals were fine and the service is friendly without being over powering. It's a good casual place for a group or a couple not wanting a relaxed nite out
