We had an amazing relaxed lunch over a couple of hours enjoying a mild autumn day from the terraced area. Our choice to 'trust the chef' was fantastic, four courses of culinary heaven. The wine as you would expect was fantastic and all in a very enjoyable and relaxed afternoon.

We celebrated a 60th and 80th Birthday here. The views were just sensational as was the food. We had a five course meal with a different wine to match each course. A very memorable meal all round - the views, service, food, wine and atmosphere!!

The restaurant was packed when we arrived, and our table not free till a wee while after it was booked for, but worth the wait. We had the full 'Trust The Chef' menu, 5 courses to share, with matching wines, and each course was spectacular! Definitely the way to go

We went with the chef's choice, and we were thoroughly thrilled with each dish. The view of the winery was gorgeous and the service was impeccable. It was a perfect way to cap off our trip. Something helpful to know we tried getting reservations on Good Friday (a huge holiday in NZ) and it was booked months in advance.

we ate here today - late lunch 2.30pm. Took a wee while to be seated as they seemed to be getting over the main rush. once seated, we had a fantastic French waiter who convinced us to share some of the choices. had Bluff oysters which were the most plumpest ones I have had this season and they were beautifully... We had lunch among the lavender bushes outside on the terrace one gorgeous afternoon. The food plus the wine tastings plus the scenery made us want to stay there all day!

We stopped in for a late lunch and although we couldn't have the full menu, they were happy for us to have a bite to eat and a wine. The charcuterie board and Brie were substantial and perfect for two. Lovely ambience and outlook. Combined with the wine and friendly accommodating service, this winery is well worth a visit!

We found this gem based on a local recommendation. We stopped by for lunch without a booking on a busy Saturday. We ended up picking a 3pm time slot (about an hour later) and it was well worth it. We opted for the Trust the Chef menu. It was amazing - some of the best food I've had in a... More

One of the best winery bistro's around; great location and food/wine choice. View delightful and found nothing to critise. Was a cold day with snow on the hills - lovely to sit near the open fire and enjoy the Amisfield Pinot. Would certainly be visiting again
