What a great restaurant and reasonable price amongst many over rated and over priced ones. We loved this place food was excellent duck superb, rack of lamb and ocean trout. Deserts were excellent and Amanda's own wine was fabulous. Busy so better book ahead. Will be back

We enjoyed a great experience at Amanda's on the Edge recently. Having dined there many years ago, we had always planned to return, however it did take us some time. Seasoned travellers, we were impressed with the meals and the accomodation of wait staff with our request for variation. Also impressive was that the meals were very hot, extremely delicious... More

Watch the turn into the entrance from the corner of the road and keep an eye out for the sign behind the tree. Dined in a party of four. The restaurant is accommodated in a former house, set on a ridge overlooking the surrounding vineyard. Dinning is in two large rooms. Décor is warm and understated, nothing flash. The extensive... We went to Amanda's on The Edge restaurant on our recent Anzac Day weekend at the Hunter Valley. We had previously gone there for lunch in January and went for dinner in April. Dinner and lunch both were beautiful with great service and staff. For dinner, I ordered the haloumi with vinegar, then the main, lamb rack that just fell... More

Looks like just a farm house in a nondescript field. We rocked up just as they opened for dinner at 6:30pm. The staff, especially our young waitress, were exceptional. The food was great & the atmosphere perfect in that relaxed, unpretentious way. We will make the trip again just to try the lunch here.

Highly recommend Amanda's! Was the one of the best meals we've had. I thought the prices were fairly reasonable considering the amazing food that was coming out. We had pork belly and the stuffed mushroom for entrees and both were delicious. Mains: ocean trout and lamb rack...again delicious. And for dessert we shared the crime brûlée and once again delicious.... More

Food was lovely. I skipped having a main so I could have two entrees. The list of mains wasn't very varied and there was nothing I liked the sound of, very glad I chose the entrees! If you are after a cheap meal this is definitely not the place to go, prices were above average. Service was very slow even... More

We visited Amanda's for dinner on a recent trip to the Hunter and were very pleased with the food. I had an amazing fig and blue cheese entree and my dining partner was extremely happy with his haloumi cigar entree. The staff were happy to upsize another entree to main size. The stand out dish was the crab ravioli with... More

You can't cram a few bare wood tables into a small noisy space, turn the lights down so low that you cant see anything and then serve up mediocre food in a surly and unfriendly manner and call it fine dining. We were greeted by someone who clearly didn't want to be there and then left for almost 15 minutes... More

On a quick visit to the Hunter Valley, Amanda's provided an elegant repast after a long day of wine tasting. Five dollars a head meant that we could easily bring our own, sampling some of the day's purchases. Food was delicious - memories of the ravioli and the perfectly cooked steak will linger. Service was solid and not obtrusive. The... More
