The room was fairly basic but clean and spacious enough. It's close enough to walk into the centre of Kaikoura easily. Staff were friendly and helpful, we thought the bar might be a bit noisy later in the evening but it wasn't a problem.

Staying at the hotel we found this a great place to eat. Enjoyed my meal and loved the seafood chowder and would definitely eat their again.

Steak meal lacked size and taste. I guess you gotta stick to seafood meals when you visit Kaikoura! Service was efficent though

Great welcome at reception when we arrived. Poor bedroom set up. hard beds, Small old style TV, no sky. Can hear through the walls. No noise control during the night = No sleep

I haven't really used this place since before the earliest date this website lets me chose, so I hope things have improved since then. I guess the restaurant could have become more affordable, but I don't see how the rooms could have gotten any larger and I'm not about to go and check.

With so many restaurants to choose from it was difficult to choose. Settled on here and had a scrummy fish meal. Would return any time. Meal costs reasonable and decor excellent with bar facilities

good local pub especially on fri night (meat packs to be won). A good bus service to town. Nice friendly people

We had lobster here which was delicious, the service is very good and the wait staff very kind
