Nice location, easy to find. Went for lunch. Kids menu adequate. My snapper steak was dry and unremarkable. Quite expensive which would have been ok had the food been remarkable. Vineyards closed because of shooting so nothing to do but eat and leave. Service excellent, wine very nice. Preferred the Black Barn in Havelock North for a vineyard experience.

Our family group of 7 had lunch at Te Awa Farm Winery Restaurant. Some of our meals were terrific; others of us had mediocre meals. Service was quite slow. It was great, though that they had a children's menu. And lovely wines!

Good food, great ambience: midwinter with a central fire and good friends - loved it

Well, you can fall on your feet sometimes. After an 'Art deco' morning in Napier, we set off to sample some wines with no particular plan in mind. The young woman at the tasting counter served us wines to suit our palates, explaining their characteristics. Being from an overseas wine growing region, we're a bit choosy but the wines were... We didn't have much time to tour wineries while in Hawke's Bay but we did visit Te Awa. Really enjoyed the wine-tasting and the two bottles we bought for drinking later! They do a great Rose which is only sold at their cellar door. Te Awa is a really handsome winery with its long, tree-lined driveway. We didn't eat there... More

We arrived fairly hot, sweaty and hungry on bikes. The gentleman (and the dog!) welcomed us warmly, got us some water and let us decide whether to eat or taste first (decision, eat, with a glass of wine). The mixed platter of cheeses and charcuterie was just fantastic, plenty for two very hungry cyclists! The fig chutney was so yummy... More

my husband and I went here as part of a Hawke's Bay winery tour - got to sample some good wines as well as try some of their seasoned and cured olives, which were great. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful.

Mid-October is a quiet time of year for wineries so we didn't book. However we were surprised that there were so few people there and were able to able to choose the table we sat at. The staff were very attentive, the surroundings amongst the garden and vines and the food and wine were all superb. We (three of us)... More

I attended a wedding held at Te Awa Winery on 28th May 2011 - the service was excellent and the food was exceptional. We had a 3 course set menu with 3 options for each course. Everything looked great and the choices I had were devine - venison, steak, and creme brulee. The steak came with a mushroom sauce and... More
