We have not eaten at the Clipper Restaurant for a few years but Airlie Beach is so tired at the moment that we thought we would eat in, as we were staying at the resort. We had the 6 course degustation menu for $68 or $98 with matching wine. The meals were of a very high standard. The restaurant has... More

The meal was absolutely beautiful! I had the pork and highly recommend it! Just sitting there looking out across that beautiful turquoise water, eating that beautiful meal - my idea of heaven!!

We are regular visitors to Airlie Beach but had never been to Clipper. We went for dinner. I had chicken and my partner had fish. My meal was amazing and of all the places we've had fish in Airlie, my partner says the fish at Clipper was by far the best! Only regret is that we didn't book in early... More

This restaurant is open from early morning until late evening so we had the opportunity to experience breakfast, lunch & dinner and found all meals well presented and of a very high standard. I must make particular mention of the Coral trout, tremendous. We had both the Coral trout and barramundi but the trout was the standout dish. We suggested... More

Stayed at the coral sea resort and got caught up in a tropical storm which meant our boating trips and events were cancelled. Disappointed, but with plenty time to kill we decided to spend the evening enjoying wine and the degustation menu - so glad that we got to do this - fantastic food, fantastic service and a great view... The restaurant is at the Coral Sea Resort with the setting overlooking the pool. Service was good, wine list and menu had plenty of variety. Portion sizes were fine. I ordered the barramundi, which tasted very fishy and unusual.

We went for a bite and a drink at this restaurant, the food and the drinks were really good- but if you are not staying at the resort you will not be allowed to sit at the front, but the view is still superb.

Restaurant has great views and is nicely decorated, they seemed to be having a mixed night when we were there, my steak was cold like it had been cooked way before the other food and left to stand, my wife had the Gnocchi which she liked so much she orderd it the following night. My daughters grilled fish with vegatbles... More

This is the second time I have been for lunch and had the Caesar salad which I think is one of the best I have had locally.

The first night we were here, we tried the degustation menu - priced very reasonably for a degustation (kind of like a 3 course meal but this one had several appetizers to taste). Everything was simply excellent. We particularly liked the gnocchi in the menu, and had a great lamb rump. Absolutely wonderful lemon creme brulee. The regular dinner menu... More
