Just had dinner there and it almost ruined my impression of Ronda. The food was subpar and expensive! They charged for the bread and olives! I don't understand the great reviews! Stick to des locos just beyond the gates.

Just like a British pub, here you are greeted with a bar. They have some traditional tapas, but continue on to the gorgeous dining room. Here, you will find a long menu of Andalusian specialties. But there’s more: a list of 6+ specials of the day. These are not listed in English and handwritten, so bring your Spanish dictionary. We...

superb food, wine, ambiance, the whole deal! We love Ronda and have visited many times, finding the Almocabar was an extra treat on our most recent trip. We definitely wish to revisit, maybe as soon as this summer if we possibly can. Un lugar muy especial.
Great, great, great food and atmosphere. Very local feel which is hard to find in Ronda with all the touristy restaurants around the gorge. We experimented with several Tapas and all were delicious; one with foie gras was to die for. A Spanish gentleman next to me ordered beef and it looked like a superb bone in ribeye (made me...

menue very large but good value. the pork fillet and venisons steaks were superb. The salads are unique in prresentation. a very small but busy place so booking essential.
Somehow, we ended up being the only guests in the restaurant on our night there. Granted, it was a cold, rainy night outside tourist season, but it was a little disconcerting to walk in and not see any other patrons.
Whatever. We had a GREAT meal. The other folks visiting Ronda that night missed out on a wonderful experience. We...

When we arrived to Almocabar there were no tables left. Full booked! We had to switch to "tapas" bar solution. We hit the sky! Absolutely outstanding! We tried all the "brochettas" riding troughout a wide and astonishing variety of taste satisfactions. Suggestions: anchiovies, peperoni and pork meat, tuna bites, aged and fresh cheese. Wine selection was as good as the...

Fabulous staff, creative and interesting menu. The food was outstanding, presentation lovely and prices were decent. Almocabar was strongly recommended to us and our expectations were exceeded.
Tried the salad with mango and nuts for two, one of the best salads ever. We each had a different duck dish as main course, we both loved what we ordered. Even the bread was freshly baked, and the sangria was very food. Prices are moderate, not cheap, and taxes are extra, but overall price is reasonable for the quality...

Went for tapas and a drink, considered staying all night. This place had the highest quality ingredients in town, at a price far below the tourist traps in the old town center. We had 4 different mini sandwich tapas, each cost less than 2€, and all tasted absolutely amazing. Definitely also try the Kambucha-esque home-brewed unfiltered wine. You'll feel like...
