Went with 15 people after a business conference. Many had flights to catch. At recommendation of server, we ordered pasta sampler and salad sampler for the table, a few entrees (chicken, fish, beef) to share as well. Followed with sampler plates of great desserts. Lots of food, very good. Not typical red sauce and pasta but fresh ingredients, artichokes, porchinis,... More

Have any dish with their house made tomato sauce. It really tastes very homemade, fresh, light and sweet. The cannelloni made with that sauce and imported ricotta cheese was also great.

the food is really, really good, and the ambience is lively and fun. My daughter ate at the original in Florence and had been after us to go here in the States. I was totally impressed and really enjoyed the freshness of all the ingredients. There are occasional problems with honoring reservations in a timely way. But it's well worth... More

loved this little neighborhood joint in the Eastern Mkt area. excellent cozy interior, very relaxing and warm, small bar opened up to the air and patio since it was a warm, early evening. Had a great table near the open kitchen ..neat to see the chefs at work. Had meat&cheese plate as well as Insalata Caprese to start! Both wonderful...... More

Overall, the location and inside of the restaurant is lovely. It has a nice, intimate feeling, which plays a huge part of your dining experience. However, gnocchi was okay but there was beyond too much gorgonzolla sauce on the gnocchi. I would have preferred a lot less. Service felt a little slow for a late evening but we managed.

Reservations needed in this wonderful Eastern Market neighborhood restaurant. The reason- it's so good and so popular. Our party loved it. The waiter was seriously Italian and the food was fantastic. Those in our party enjoyed Sea bass, Grouper, and Pasta dishes which were just delicious. We never felt rushed. It was just fun and flavor. 'Highly recommend!

I ate dinner at Acqua al 2 recently with a friend. I can't say it was an amazing meal or even close to being great. My gnocchi were really salty and I had to send them back because it was impossible to consume that mush salt. I ordered another pasta dish and it was less salty but I can't say... More

This restaurant is located in the Capitol Hill Section of DC. The food here is always excellent. Great Italian food with a flare. Their Fish and Beef always standout. It tends to be crowded and very lively so a reservation is a must. They have a fun wine list and great drinks. Enjoy!!

When we learned recently that this Capitol Hill restaurant offers a 3 course lunch for $20, we decided to try it on Valentine's Day. To our happy surprise, the special menu offered on weekdays offers a selection of the steaks for which the restaurant is best known (as well as pastas and other items). We each had very nicely sized... More
