This is by far the best Indian I've had in DC, hands down,a nd one of the best restaurants in Penn Quarter. I highly recommend it. I usually go at lunch, when it's easy to find tables available. Service is very attentive, staff are familiar with the menu and provide an opportunity for a delicious working lunch.

The good reviews for this restaurant are all true. The food is really excellent and you will get an ocean of flavours throughout the night. We went for the set menu, and would do it again. The best Indian food we have ever had. Reservations strongly recommended. ENJOY!

I am writing about Rasika West End (apparently there are 2 locations). It was great - the atmosphere was fun yet still pleasant for a conversation. And the atmosphere is nothing compared to the food. We got only vegetarian dishes and decided to get 6 small plates (for 2 people). Everything was great. I like cauliflower okay, but this was... More

SUMMARY We look for three things in a restaurant: food, service and ambiance. Of the five restaurants we visited in Washington, this was by far the best restaurant. FOOD We recommend any of the dishes we were served. All were delicious and included these three appetizers plantain, eggplant and spinach. Main dishes included perfectly prepared lamb chops with chutney, chicken... More

Crispy spinach. This is the Indian equivalent of popcorn but with spinach. Fried and mixed with dates always delicious. Tandoori lobster. All the foods are delicate and flavorful. Not cheap $40 - 60 a person with one beer. Go early sit at the bar otherwise reservations are a must. Service has always been excellent at the bar and bar tables.

The attention to detail and the delicate flavors are amazing. The service did not match the food and we had to call a friend who works for the restaurant group to get a table, after being told we could not get a reservation for over 4 weeks. We did sit at a table backing onto the bar area and has... More

I work near the new branch and went for lunch. The food was very good as usual (although not as stunning as other reviewers have it) but the service was the worst I have ever had at a restaurant with these kinds of prices. A colleague and I walked in at 12:15, ordered by 12:25, got the fried spinach within... More

I went for dinner to Rasika on my own and it was a good experience. The place was crowded (I had no reservation) and I had to sit in a bar in front of the kitchen, shared, with other clients. I tried a degustation menu, and enjoyed it quite a lot. The food was very different and the service was... More

My husband and I enjoyed our dining experience at Rasika. The interior design of the restaurant is a feast for the eyes and the food a taste sensation. The restaurant was very busy and extremely noisy to the point that we had trouble hearing the menu options. Our waiter highly recommended several dishes and we ordered three of those. The food... More

Some dishes are good but overall average food. The curry I bought was something that seems to have put together in 10 mins, I can say I am Indian. Also I am not talking about authencity here, but taste and texture did not hit the mark. The flash fried spinach was amazing. The rice was undercooked. Really, how can a... More
