The Boss just isn't the same. Been going there for a couple years. Each time its bigger, and the oysters more humdrum.

We have eaten at Boss Oyster on numerous occasions and always enjoy the food and the scenery right on the water. On this trip our waitress was extra nice and our food was perfect for a summer lunch in Apalachicola.
Some of the best oysters I've ever had in this area. Raw, baked and steamed are very reasonably priced, however, the oysters do get pricey when you start topping with crab/bacon/etc. The summer oyster beds just opened and everyone's oysters were huge and delicious! Also tried the oyster tacos which were tasty but nothing really special...cheese grits and red beans...

This fun restaurant had great food with an amazing view right on the river. We are not picky people, so had nothing to complain about.
Ok, it's an Oyster house. We were disappointed that they were out of local oysters but what we has was well prepared, the oysters were just a little too big for my palate. I had boiled shrimp...very good. It's very very casual and lots of little kids.
Stopped here to eat Oysters! They were very good but a bit pricey for other places we ate oyster on the half shell. We say out on the porch and had great views of the water and the oyster boats. I had my first "oyster tacos" which were good, but not sure I can get my head around oysters in...

Best time to arrive on a Sun eve is by 6 :00PM. Seated right away, right next to the water. Pretty view. Fun to watch fishermen come in with their catch. When we left a little over an hour later, there was a long line of people waiting to be seated. Warm, friendly waitress disappeared the second half of our...

Quirky little restaurant with great seafood. Outdoor patio looks out onto the water and we usually eat there if the weather is nice. Some people object to the fact that the birds are able to fly in to the tables despite the fishing line strung out. Boss Oyster tries, but you can't stop nature. So it's one of those places...

Boss is fine but there are better places in town, that's for sure! I'm a big fan of raw oysters and the ones at Boss are awesome, but (yes, there's a but) the price is over $3 more per dozen than other places less than 1/4 mile away. We also tried the Key West oysters, corn fritters, red beans and...

I read that this is one of the best Seafood places to eat in the South. It is! We had the seafood sandwich and it was awesome. More then enough food to feed two. I would recommend not to miss this one.
