They have a wonderful jalapeno and pineapple vodka cocktail if you like heat. The ceviche and conch fritters are tasty, as are the tacos. We found ourselves stopping in three times for drinks/food in the week we were in Placencia.

The restaurant was so special we went twice in a 9 day vacation. Everything was excellent - the food, the service, the ambiance. Fresh ingredients only - be sure to try the Peruvian cerviche!
Rumfish has a wonderful, friendly staff and fantastic owners who are very passionate about bringing the best cuisine to Placencia. My fiance and I enjoy eating at Rumfish---almost on a weekly basis because it is SO delicious!! The bar is amazing with the fruit infused alcohol--amazing wine list and draft beer. The location is really cool, unique and you will...

I've read many reviews about Rumfish before I went and all the reviews sounded great.
This place did not disappoint. Such a cute place to eat, the food is great and the drinks are the best I have ever had.. We started with spicy plantain chips and Bruschetta. Both were very good. Next the kids had the best burger ever...

The drink selection was phenomenal, from the coconut mojito to the habenero pineapple fizz. The red curried snook was the special of the night and there was not a bite left on any plate that ordered it. Great atmosphere and loved meeting the owners!
I am a wine person. Not an expert, but I like my wine. When I saw the name, I just had to go there. I was hungry most of all and I just melted the same way the food melted in my mouth. The wine was just a cherry on top. They have a good selection, not a long list,...

I agree with one of the reviewer's take on the owner. A bit pretentious. The food was just ok and not worth the price. If you have to have "gourmet", I guess you would like this. My tastes are more simple.
We had several recommendations to come here. We brought in some fish of our own and the cooked an appetizer up for us. The fish tacos were the best. I would recommend calling ahead if you can, we didn't have to wait long but it's a small place and we had a big group. Also get some gellato a the...

This place is probably the best restaurant on the peninsula. The food was simply amazing. I was with two other friends and we were all blown away at how perfectly cooked all the appetizers were prepared. Then, when we received our drinks and main entree we were in ecstasy. Everything was so delicious. The prices were a little high, but...
