Very friendly proprietor , and a nice location to sit and watch the world go by. Food very average and all the usual suspects , (tagine , couscous , pastilla....yawn)

We would have walked right by this place if Thami hadn't come up to us in the street and tried to get us to take a menu. I normally hate that sort of thing, which is common in Morocco, but we'd read about the restaurant in Lonely Planet and wanted to try it. My dinner companion being Moroccan, we got...

great first experience, great food (tajine) and very friendly service at the first time. Second time still good food, but hidden charges. The time we went there I got terrible stomach ache after having ordered coucous.
Thami really does exist.... Nice food - very taditional.
We ordered 1 menu of 70 Dirhams for 2 people since portions are mostly large in Morocco. We had a kefta tagine - with eggs and it came with the lentils starter as well. Also had 2 mint tea and makooda (don't know how to write it but that's how it sounded) and it was delicious. Everything costed around 140...

We suggest you try the tagine of kefta with egg, the melange and his fish.

Had the kefta tagine (meat balls with egg) which was very nice but a mile away from that described in the Lonely Planet Encounter book.
Loved the complimentary lentil starter, and they gave us extra bread with no questions or additional cost. Kefta was super duper delicious, and piping hot - we finished every morsel therefore the extra bread. I polished of the soup, and wiped my bowl clean
Lovely to relax and just watch the world go by. We went in the early evening,...

If you need a place to rest in the caotic medina this is the right one! For a low price you can have delicious food while watching people passing by. We had a chicken and vegetable tajine, a kefta, a bottle of water and 2 mint tea for 110 dirham... and the show of the busiest medina in the world...

We chose Thamis from the Lonley Planet recommendation and we found it all to be true and accurate. We ate there twice and the food was hot, clean, andcdelicious, and the atmosphere was just perfect for visitors wanting to tune into the vibe of the Medina. We fed a family of 4 for about $30 USD/AUD, which is great value....
